Wow! eye Taiwan Video Contest 2009

Taiwan’s government Information Office is calling for entries for the 2009 WOW! Eye Taiwan Contest. Prizes total over NT$ 1.9 million(about AU$85,000)—first prize is the Grand Jury Prize of NT$500,000(about AU$22,000),with opportunities to win other valuable cash prizes.

The First WOW eye Taiwan contest was held last year and attracted 472 entries from all over the world.

Aspiring filmmakers are invited to submit short films featuring any aspect of Taiwan, its people or its culture. Films can be made anywhere in the world and will be judged across a range of criteria. Diversity and originality are encouraged, and entrants may produce their work using any device that records moving images.

Entries can be submitted by individuals or teams in any of the following four categories: documentary, short film, animation, or music video. Each film should be no longer than 10 minutes.

How to enter
l Register for membership of the internet-based Taiwan Audio Video Interactive Service Platform(http://TAVIS.tw).

l Upload entries on the event website between March 1st and May 1st
