-   you can take 3 months from your summer holiday and study in Taiwan with financial support from the Ministry of Education in Taiwan?

The Ministry of Education Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship, funded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (TAIWAN), aims to give scholarship recipients a better command of the Mandarin language, and hence a greater understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. Any Australian citizen aged 18 and above with an excellent academic record and of good moral character is eligible to apply. 

Within the annual award period from every September to the following August, recipients may choose one of the following periods for the duration of their scholarship:

-       12 months

-        9 months

-        6 months

-        3 months

A monthly stipend of NT$25,000 (approximately AU$850) is provided to each recipient. Recipients have a responsibility to pay for their international airfares, tuition fees, lodging/accommodation fees, food, health insurance and other expenses. The Annual Application period is from early February to end of March everyyear.
