  • How to apply for admission?

Foreign students applying for admission to a university, college, or junior college should submit their applications during the school’s designated application period,accompanied by the documents listed below. College or university degree studies applicants must be high school graduates and applications should be sent directly to the dean of studies of the host institution.

Institutions will use their own discretion and will apply their own standards to offer admission. Those found qualified through review or special screening tests will be granted admission. The student shall show proof of medical and personal accident insurance or national health insurance at the time of registration.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

1. Application for enrollment (the format of which is to be determined by each
  individual school);

2. A photocopy of the graduation certificate from the highest foreign educational
  institution completed (in Chinese or English translation), and an English
  translation of the transcript of the student’s entire course work at that
  institution;

3. Two letters of recommendation;

4. A health certificate (including an HIV test);

5. A study plan in Chinese or English;

6. Proof of financial sufficiency (proof of sufficient funds for studying in Taiwan);

7. Other documents as required by the university, college, or junior college.

  •  How to obtain the Visa?

Foreign nationals may obtain tourist visas if they hold foreign passports or travel documents valid for more than six months in the Republic of China for purposes of sightseeing, business, family visits, study or training, medical treatment, or other legitimate activities.Visa requirements included one completed application form, incoming and outgoing travel tickets, one photo, documents verifying the purpose of the visits,and other relevant documents. The Visitor Visa Application Form can be downloaded from the website of the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The completed form should be submitted to an overseas mission of the Republic of China for visa issuance.
